I am pleased to announce the appointment of Trevor Cuddy as the new Director, Professional Development Centre.

Trevor joined the Faculty in May 2000 in the area of student recruitment and currently holds the position of Director, Engineering Student Recruitment and Outreach Office. 

During his time with the student recruitment portfolio, Trevor transformed the unit from a two-person office to the highly successful outreach operation it is today.  Trevor brings a combination of skill, experience and a unique entrepreneurial style to his new role as the Director of the PDC. 

This appointment will allow the Faculty to undertake a merger of the outreach activities of DEEP (da Vinci Engineering Enrichment Program), Engineering and Science Academy, and Science Camp with the professional course offerings of the PDC together under Trevor's leadership. He will work to review the operations of both units in the coming months with the aim of merging operations in the late spring. 

Our student recruitment activities will remain separate, reporting to a revised replacement position, which will be posted shortly.   Trevor's appointment is effective January 7, 2008, but he will continue to oversee student recruitment activities until the transition is complete.
