Ontario Ministry of Transportation – 2010 Highway Infrastructure Innovation Funding Program (HIIFP)

Sponsor Deadline: March 4, 2010

This program encourages basic and applied research in transportation infrastructure in Ontario. It solicits innovations from institutions to assist the Ministry in meeting selected challenges, and to encourage undergraduate and graduate research in transportation and infrastructure engineering. Ontario's academic community is asked to contribute to transportation infrastructure solutions in a number of areas including traffic operations, intelligent transportation systems, engineering materials, highway design, environmental, geomatics, bridges, construction and maintenance.

Documents required for ORS review and signature are: (1) Completed and signed RIS form, (2) Full application signed by the Chair/Unit Head and/or Vice-Dean Research.

CFI/ORF Post Award Information Session

Research Services invites CFI/ORF awardees and support staff to attend an information session regarding updated information on post-award activities.  The session will include the following topics:

  • Overview of recently released Sponsor Guideline
  • When changes occur in the project
    - New amendment process for requesting approval for changes 
    - Reporting of delays and significant variance
  • Upcoming reporting obligations
    - Progress reports and timing
    - Financial reports and timing
