Engineering Entrepreneurship Series 2009-2010

Since 2004, The Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has provided an inspiring roster of speakers for its Engineering Entrepreneur Series, open to all students of the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering.

The series was the idea of Jonathan Rose, past Chair of ECE, and is part of the Engineering Leaders of Tomorrow program. It is intended to help cultivate a “culture” of entrepreneurism among students and is founded on the premise that stories of successful entrepreneurial ventures will inspire students to create their own companies. Over 25% of all Canadian CEOs are Engineers.

Participating in this year's series are Avanindra Utukuri, EngSci 9T6 (Nytric); Tony Lacavera, ECE 9T7 (Globalive Communications); Cameron Serles, MIE 8T7 (Xiris Automation Inc.); and Farhad Shafai, EngSci 9T5 (Sarance Technologies). For further details, please click here.
