Awards & Honours

  • Member, University of Toronto Design Team. In 2009, our team placed first in the Water Environment Association of Ontario Student Design Competition for the design of a Sanitary Sewage Pumping Station in the City of Pickering. We were also 2nd place in the Water Environment Federation Wastewater Student Design Competition in Florida for the same design.
  • Entrance Scholarship, Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry, University of Toronto, 2009
  • Won 3rd place in the University of Western Ontario Undergraduate Capstone Design Competition for the design of a combined heat and power system utilizing thermal gasification of poultry waste to generate renewable energy, 2007
  • Ontario Global Traders Award – Student Category for Southwestern Ontario, Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, 2006

Why did you choose U of T Engineering?

The educational opportunity and learning experience offered in Environmental Engineering is unparalleled. In addition, U of T maintains connection with industry primarily through student activities.

What has been your most memorable moment at U of T so far?

Studying for exams with my friends in the graduate student lounge.

What are your plans after graduation?

I joined an engineering consulting firm a few months ago and I am currently continuing my education on a part-time basis. My future career path will focus on water and wastewater treatment systems and design of sustainable infrastructure.
