Spring/Summer 2014

A Message from Dean Cristina Amon

U of T Engineering alumni have a remarkable impact around the globe, and their collective generosity to their alma mater is just as outstanding. I recently returned from Asia-Pacific, where the outpouring of support from our growing alumni communities in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore for the forthcoming Centre for Engineering Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CEIE) is tremendous. It was exciting to discover how enthusiastic they are to sponsor classrooms and spaces in our new collaborative learning environment – a testament to Skule's legacy. Dean Cristina Amon
The facilities and collaborative environment of the landmark CEIE will transform how our students learn, and will establish U of T Engineering as the leader in collaborative engineering education and multidisciplinary research. Our graduates will possess not only a firm grounding in the traditional fields of engineering, but will leave U of T as bright, creative and innovative engineers destined to shape our world with new technologies and influential entrepreneurial ventures.

Our Faculty is grateful to be surrounded by such a vibrant international alumni community willing to assist us as we build on our reputation for excellence. I thank you for your tremendous support and dedication to Skule.
