Forum on Interdisciplinary Urban Solutions Led By Students

The first Interdisciplinary Urban Solutions Forum, coordinated by Civil Engineering students, was held at Hart House on Friday, Mar. 28.

The keynote speaker was Thelma Gee, Interim Director of Sustainability at WATERFRONToronto. A discussion panel rounded out the afternoon with participation from Professors Kim Pressnail (Civil 7T6), Chris Kennedy, Glen Miller and alumnus Peter Halsall (Civil 7T7).

"The Department is very proud of Katelyn Margerm and Kathryn Grond for organizing this fabulous event," said Professor Brenda McCabe, Chair of Civil Engineering. "As one of our professors noted, 'The future is brighter thanks to your good work, and as others draw upon your spirit and determination, it is a lot easier to be optimistic about our future'."
