External Scholarships and Awards

 
   
 

The following is a list of external awards.  Qualified students are strongly encouraged to submit an application.  Contact Pierina Filippone, Assistant Registrar, Scholarships & Financial Aid, 416-978-4159, or pierina@ecf.utoronto.ca or in person in Galbraith Building, room 153.
 
Details, application forms, and eligibility criteria are available online. Completing applications require time and effort; interested students should take advantage of the December break to develop the strongest possible application.  Please review opportunities now and contact Pierina if you are considering applying.


2010 Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Awards

This award is open to currently enrolled full or part-time available for students in fourth year who will be graduating either in November 2009 or June 2010. Deadline: Wednesday, November 25.



CEMF Undergraduate Engineering Scholarships:
This $5,000 award is open to female engineering students in first, second or third year. Selection is based primarily on community leadership and involvement in extra-curricular activities. Candidates are can only apply for one CEMF award. Deadline: January 15, 2010.

 
CEMF 20th Anniversary National Scholarship for Women in Engineering (NEW)

This $10,000 award is only available in 2010 and is open to female students in first, second or third year.  Selection is based primarily on community leadership and involvement in extra-curricular activities; special emphasis is placed on leadership and encouraging others to contribute to bettering Canadian society. Candidates are can only apply for one CEMF award. Deadline: January 15, 2010.
 
 
Vale Inco Undergraduate Scholarships in Engineering
Three awards valued at $10,000 each open to female engineering students in first, second or third year with a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the mining industry. The selection is based primarily on community leadership and involvement in extra-curricular activities; special emphasis is placed on leadership and encouraging others to contribute to bettering Canadian society. Candidates are can only apply for one CEMF award. Deadline: January 15, 2010.
 

AMEC Aboriginal Scholarships for Women in Engineering
This $5,000 award is open to aboriginal female engineering students in first, second or third year. Selection is based primarily on community leadership and involvement in extra-curricular activities; special emphasis is placed on leadership and encouraging others to contribute to bettering Canadian society. Proof of ancestry is required. Candidates are can only apply for one CEMF award. Deadline: January 15, 2010.
 
 
Top 20 Under 20 Award
This prestigious national award is open to Canadian citizens or permanent residents age of 20 as of December 31, 2009.  Deadline: January 22, 2010 by 4:30 p.m.
