1. Marks

Unofficial marks will be available to view on SWS starting the week of May 10 as they are submitted. Note that ROSI will be busy during this week.

Marks become "official" after being reviewed for accuracy by the Committee on Examinations on May 18.

2. Final mark re-checks and exam copies

A student may request that his or her professor re-check final marks from the last academic session. The fee for a final mark re-check is $13.00 and is non-refundable; however, if there is a change to the student’s final grade, the fee will be refunded. Once the Office of the Registrar receives the request and payment, the student's original exam paper is forwarded to the professor for review.

A final mark re-check request typically takes 3-6 weeks to process, depending on the availability of the Instructor or Course Coordinator to review the exam.

For more on final mark re-checks, see the Office of the Registrar's website.

A student may order a photocopy of an Engineering final exam that he or she wrote in the last academic session. Copies are $13.00 per exam and non-refundable. An exam photocopy request typically takes 1-2 weeks to be processed, depending on the availability of the exam paper.

For more on ordering an exam copy, see the Office of the Registrar's website.

3. Petitions

Petitions for final examinations are submitted through the Engineering Portal.

If you're submitting a petition online, you'll receive a four-digit petition ID. This ID must be written on all documentation (e.g. a U of T Medical Certificate) you submit along with your petition. Documentation must be brought to the Office of the Registrar in GB 157 to be attached to your electronic petition.

The following deadlines and timelines apply to fourth year students:

i. The deadline to submit a Final Exam petition and supporting documentation for a course taken in the Faculty of Arts & Science is Monday, April 26, 2010.

The following deadlines and timelines apply to all students and petitions:

i.  The deadline to submit a Final Exam petition and supporting documentation is Thursday May 6, 2010.
ii.  All Final Exam and Special Consideration Petitions submitted between April 7 - May 6, will be reviewed by the Committee on Examinations on May 13, 14, 17 and 18.
iii.  All Final Exam petitions submitted after May 6 will be considered late and may be denied on the basis of lateness.

4. Transcripts

Graduating students: If you require an official transcript, order one from the University of Toronto Transcript Centre after June 16 as it will not indicate that you have convocated until after the ceremony date. All other students, if you require current official marks and academic standing on an official transcript, order after May 18 when marks become official.

Transcripts can be ordered online through ROSI.

5. Summer Enrolment and Registration

Enrolment in summer session courses in the Faculty of Arts & Science began for Engineering students on Thursday April 22 on ROSI and is currently open.

Once you've enrolled in classes, fees will appear on ROSI. If you pay or defer your fees before May 3, you will be automatically registered for the summer session. If you pay after May 3, you must bring in a receipt of payment to the Office of the Registrar in GB 157 by May 14, otherwise your registration will be cancelled and your courses dropped. If you are receiving OSAP and have a notice of assessment, you can bring that to the Office of the Registrar before May 14 to have your fees deferred and become registered.

For more detailed enrolment instructions, see our Guide to Summer 2010 Course Enrolment and Registration.

For instructions on paying your fees, see Student Accounts.

Review the Arts & Science summer timetable.

6. Fall/Winter enrolment and registration for 2010/2011

Already excited for the next academic year? Enrolment and registration instructions (including how to view your timetable, add or change courses and how to defer your fees if you're receiving OSAP/government student loans) will be coming to your inbox in late July.

7. Confirming registration for RESPs/Education Assistance Plans

If you have an Education Assistance Plan and your provider is requesting that the Office of the Registrar confirms your eligibility to register for the 2010/2011 academic year, bring your form to the Office of the Registrar in GB 157 by July 15 to guarantee delivery to your provider. The Office of the Registrar cannot guarantee delivery after that date so ask your primary financial providers about education assistance plans as soon as possible.

For more on education assistance plans, see the Office of the Registrar's website.

If you have questions or concerns about student services, enrolment and registration, drop by GB 157.
