We have had another productive year with a number of key research results. Our NSERC Discovery results arrived last week and 52 colleagues received over $2.1 M in funding. Overall we seem to have done well under the new NSERC rules for the Discovery grant, with an average funding level of over $40,000.  As we continue to increase our visibility and strengthen industrial collaborations, our research program continues to be among the top in the world. In the 2008 Times Higher Education-QS and U.S. News and World Report we are No. 1 in Canada and among the top 10 internationally. Congratulations to all who received research funding this year!
