Energy Systems: The Perfect Option

There is a new kid on the block. It's the new Energy Systems Option in Engineering Science, and its designers are very excited about its arrival.

"What is most exciting about the new option is that it's diverse and interdisciplinary. The Option will involve multiple departments and extend to both human and natural systems, including consideration of both conventional and alternative energy technologies," comments Option Chair, Bryan Karney.

The new program is built around a core of electrical energy, but will consider everything from chemical and mechanical energy production and system control, to issues of lighting public policy, and including a new course on the Earth systems that make human energy systems possible. There is great interest among potential employers for the new option and the original student pool is
enthusiastic and engaged.
