Our Faculty’s space falls short of current and projected needs, with much of it barely adequate to support our educational activities and infrastructure-intensive research. Overcoming these challenges requires resources and creativity, and is essential to maintain our position as the premier Engineering school in Canada and to lead globally in education and research.

We are actively seeking public funding and private donations for renovation plans, including the Mining Building, and the construction of a building to provide state-of-the-art laboratories for enabling technologies and advanced engineered materials research. Also challenging will be the provision of swing space to accommodate existing operations while these and other plans proceed. Our determination to secure high-quality space to meet current and future enrolment and research endeavours is strong; together we will overcome our current infrastructure challenges.
